OXFORD – Who has the fairest cupcake of them all? That’s what judges at tonight’s Cupcake Euphoria will be trying to determine. The event, a pre-holiday family celebration sponsored by the Oxford Community Youth Center, takes place from 6 to 8:30 tonight at the Oxford High School’s performing arts auditorium. Admission is $1 or a non-perishable food item.
“Usher in the holiday season with decadent desserts, art, music and local confectioners,” invites Linda LaRosa-Mosner, who helped organize the second annual event.
Proceeds support the Youth Center’s After School Program, which provides a safe place for middle schoolers to go after the school day at no charge to parents. The canned goods and non-perishable food items collected at the door will be donated to the Oxford Food Pantry.
According to Mosner, this year’s Cupcake Euphoria will feature “hundreds of decadent desserts,” all donated by local restaurants, caterers and bakeries.
“We are celebrating how lucky we are,” the organizer said, of the response they have received from area businesses.
