Charlotte Valley 39, G-MU 25

DAVENPORT – Charlotte Valley canned 10-of-13 free throws in the final period to hold off G-MU and win a non-league contest over the visiting Raiders Monday night.

G-MU closed to within four points at the end of the third quarter on Sabrina Brooks’ three-point shot with two seconds left. “It looked like we might break through in the fourth quarter,” said G-MU coach Jim Johnson. “We had a couple of unforced turnovers and a couple more missed shots in the fourth quarter. Even when we executed, we missed more than we made.”

Brittany Chase had 14 points to lead Charlotte Valley, and Lauren Hotaling added 12.
