GENEVA – After wins over Elmira and D’Youville last week, two Hobart basketball players earned weekly honors from the Liberty League office Monday. Junior forward Matt Pebole (Red Bank/Red Bank, N.J.) earned a spot on the Team of the Week, while first-year forward Richie Bonney (Norwich/Norwich, N.Y.) was tabbed the Co-Rookie of the Week.

For the week, Bonney averaged 9.5 points and a team-high 6.0 rebounds. Against the Soaring Eagles, he scored a team-high 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting, including a three, and 4-of-6 from the line. Against the Spartans, Bonney netted four points and grabbed nine boards in just 14 minutes. For the week, he shot 54.5 percent from the floor.

Overall, Bonney is third on the team in scoring (9.8 ppg) and leads the conference in rebounding (9.5 rpg). He’s shooting 48.1 percent from the floor.
