SIDNEY – Katelyn Philpott scored nine of her 16 points in the fourth quarter as Sidney overtook the Storm in Thursday night’s game.
UV led by six points at halftime, and still had a one-point edge entering the fourth, that despite foul trouble to two of its starters.
“We just had trouble getting into a flow the whole game,” said UV coach Brandi Backus. “Our foul shooting killed us.”
UV finished 11-for-24 from behind the charity stripe, and was just 5-for-15 if you take away the makes and attempts of sophomore Amanda Off. Off scored a career-high 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the loss.
