NORWICH – Walter Turns and Christopher Macy are the winners of Chenango United Way’s 2010 raffle, according to Executive Director Elizabeth Monaco. There were 1,276 eligible donors for the annual drawing who each contributed the minimum of $52 – or $1 per week – toward the 2010 campaign, she added.
United Way Campaign Co-chair Deb Barker and Finance Director Victoria Mitchell, Norwich Pharmaceuticals Inc. Quality Assurance Release Leader Kim Baker and Human Resources Services Manager Luke Murphy and Preferred Mutual Vice President of Commercial Lines Brian Lopata were on hand to present the two winners with their prizes – a 32-inch, flat-screen HD television set and RCA DVD Home Theater System, sponsored by Preferred, for Turns and $500 in VISA gift cards, sponsored by Norwich Pharmaceuticals, for Macy.
“It’s just great,” said Turns, a Norwich resident and lab technician at Chenango Memorial Hospital. “I thought it was a dream at first.”
