NORWICH – With the New Year fast approaching, ‘tis the season to look ahead and plot a course for the year to come. According to usa.gov, two of the most common resolutions Americans make each year are to lose weight and to get fit. Those looking to get a jump start on fulfilling their fitness goals will have a chance to do so this Sunday as AIM Fitness hosts its third annual open house.
“AIM to be fit in the New Year” is the motto for the event, according to the fitness center’s proprietor, Eric Montalvo.
According to Montalvo, the Open House will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include a variety of activities. From 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. a number of group exercise classes will be showcased on the main floor include Zumba, Pump, Step and a preview of AIM’s newest offering, a Cardio-Strength class.
“There will be trainers on hand to give tours and answer questions,” he added. The event will also include a DJ, refreshments, half-priced smoothies, free childcare for those working out and a host of giveaways.
“Everyone who walks through the door will pull a prize from the prize box,” Montalvo said, and have the chance to win everything from memberships and T-shirts to free day passes and free smoothies.
