Unadilla Valley 50, Afton 34

NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley jumped out to a 10-point lead in the first quarter, and withstood Afton’s third-quarter rally to win for the third time this season.

Jordan Anderson scored seven of her 12 points in a 17-7 opening stanza. Amanda Off picked up the scoring in the second half bucketing 11 of her 19 points. Afton, down by double digits early, came as close as four points in the third quarter. “We were able to go on a run after they cut it to four, and it wasn’t close again,” said UV coach Brandi Backus.
