NORWICH – The City of Norwich Fire and Police Departments responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Cortland and North Broad streets at approximately 11:10 a.m. Friday.

Police said t he driver of a 2008 Chevy pickup truck failed to yield at a red light while traveling south on Broad, striking the driver’s side of a 2007 Subaru station wagon.

The driver of the Subaru was taken by ambulance to United Health Services Chenango Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries and later transported to the UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, where she is listed in satisfactory condition.

The driver of the Chevy pickup was uninjured and no tickets have been issued at this time.
