COPES CORNERS – G-MU surged in the third period to take control of its game with Otselic Valley Friday night and earn its 13th win of the season.

Trailing the Vikings by a point entering the last quarter, G-MU inverted its zone moving three people across the top. OV failed to produce much consistency on offense, and the Raiders had five players score in a 20-8 period. Demario Reed scored seven points in the third quarter, and Chris Steckline had seven points off the bench in the second half as G-MU cruised.

“I hope this contributes to our confidence as we move into praictice before sectionals,” said G-MU coach Bill Hartman. “The kids passed it well and we had better movement offensively in the second half. Life is always easier when you’re able to do that.”
