6 On The Square Presents Nature Artist Charity Gipp

OXFORD – 6 On The Square (6OTS) announces the opening of an exhibit of nature paintings by local artist Charity Gipp. The gallery of unique tempera art, depicting everything from eastern butterflies to underwater seahorses, will run from March 8 through May 1, with an Opening Reception on Friday, March 11, from 5 - 7 p.m..

Charity Gipp was born in Oswego in 1984. She received a Bachelors of Fine Art in 2004 and a Masters in the Art of Teaching in 2006, from Oswego State University in New York. “Speechless over the area beauty,” Charity, and husband Jeff, moved to Chenango County in 2008. She accepted the position as Oxford Academy’s middle school art instructor to help young students gain an understanding and appreciation for art, and help each student achieve to the best of their ability.
