Plans underway for this year's Dairy Day

NORWICH – The Dairy Day Committee is in full swing planning this year’s 11th Annual Dairy Day for June 18, 2011.  The day is set to begin at 11 a.m. with a parade starting at Top’s on East Main St. in Norwich and ending at the Chenango County Fairgrounds where the fun and festivities will continue. The goal is to provide a day where families can come and enjoy a day of hands-on activities and educational exhibits free of charge. The dairy industry and agriculture holds a great place in the history of Chenango County and this is a great way to see firsthand the many roles that agriculture can play in our lives.

Activities slated for this year’s event include: the 10th annual Dairy Day Coloring Contest, petting zoo, haybale maze, dairy products giveaways, local business displays, kiddie tractor pulls and many more.  New this year will be a Stocktub Race! Be sure to sign your team up today by calling 334-5841 x14.
