NORWICH – Just in time for Mother’s Day, Chenango Mama – an online resource for moms in and around Chenango County – launched its newly designed Web site May 1.

Formerly known as Chenango Moms, Chenango Mama founder Teresa Giglio called the site – www.chenangomama.com – a place for local moms to connect with one another, share information and gain friendships and support from other mothers throughout the county.

Giglio said she’d originally planned to publish an informational newsletter years ago, similar in nature, when her daughter – now 16 years old – was much younger, but the project never saw the light of day. Technology was also a factor, as the Internet simply “wasn’t a big deal at that time,” she added.

“I finally reached a point where there were not a lot of jobs out there and I wanted to find something I could do during the evening,” stated Giglio, a lifelong Chenango County resident. “There just wasn’t a lot to choose from and I’ve got a lot of life experience, so I’m hoping to see this help other moms out there form relationships.”
