NORWICH – Three Norwich students were recently notified that their literary works have been picked up by the 2011 Susquehanna Apprentice Writer.
Original literary works by Lane deCordova, a junior at Mercersburg Academy in Pennsylvania; Patricia McNeil, a junior at Norwich High School; and Julia Simcoe, a NHS senior, were chosen for publication. Their winning entries were among 70 that were selected from a pool of 3,500 submissions.
The Susquehanna Apprentice Writer (circ.11,000) is a publication of the Writer’s Institute at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Penn. It publishes poems, stories and personal essays by high school students from a 20-state area. The 2011 edition will be available in September.
