NORWICH – Members of a group calling for more action on developing renewable energy will sponsor a rally, “Speak Out for Home Rule,” at 4 p.m. Thursday at in front of the Chenango County Courthouse.
Attendees from communities throughout the area are scheduled to briefly share their local initiatives and experiences regarding zoning laws, comprehensive plans and the enactment of various bans. A press release from the group, Chenango Community Action for Renewable Energy, or C-CARE, said speakers will provide “a tutorial workshop for achieving town protective resolutions for natural gas drilling via home rule.”
