PLYMOUTH – The Chenango County Amateur Golf Tournament returns after a decade-plus absence, Saturday, July 30 at Canasawacta Country Club.
The tournament is one day and open to men, women, and children in 11 possible categories. “This is a tournament where we really wanted to get kids involved,” said tournament committee co-chair, Mark DeMellier. “Timmy Carson (C.C.C. owner) gave us the tools for the tournament, so we took this date.”
Divisions available are grades 6-8 (nine noles), grades 9-12, men’s scratch championship, ladies’ scratch championship, men’s senior championship, ladies’ senior championship, men’s super senior, ladies’ super senior, men’s A flight (handicap index 8-0-16.0), men’s B flight (handicap index 16.1-plus), women’s A flight (index of 18.0-plus). Additionally, for an additional fee men’s and women’s senior scratch players may register concurrently for the overall men’s and women’s scratch titles.
