OXFORD – A two-car motor vehicle accident on State Highway 220 sent two to the hospital Sunday.
According to Sgt. C. Ted Ellingsen of the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, 19 year-old Autumn Matthews of Oxford was headed south on County Road 32 when she failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and pulled out onto 220 in front of a 2001 Ford pick-up truck being driven by Derik Gould, 21, of Guilford.
The truck hit Matthews’ 2008 Mazda and then careened into the guard rail.
