OXFORD – Postal officials report that the Oxford Post Office has made modifications to keep its lobby open 24 hours daily for easier access to that community’s post office boxes.
The Oxford office is among the first in the Postal Service’s Albany District to move towards round-the-clock access for post office boxes. The new hours went into effect July 15.
The expansion comes as post offices in Upstate New York explore ways to expand access to popular postal services - such as stamp sales or post office boxes - to meet changing market demand and the active lifestyle of today’s postal customers in an increasingly digital age.
