NEW BERLIN – The New Berlin Youth Days will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Aug. 25-27, on the grounds of Milford Academy in downtown New Berlin. According to Youth Days Committee President Larissa Hanslmaier, this event is a good way to finish New Berlin’s summer season.
This year the event will host many popular activities from past years, but will also introduce some new elements such the Chobani Inaugural 5k Unadilla River Run and 2k walk on Saturday. According to Hanslmaier, Agro Farma wanted to become involved and to do something that would help celebrate the 50th anniversary. Alexis Robinson, who has been working in the activities department at Agro Farma, said although the run is new for the company, everything has been going very smoothly.
Hanslmaier explained that the Youth Days isn’t all about carnival rides.
“We want to focus on exercise and promoting healthy kids,” she said. “It’s a community event that provides many things to do.”
