COLUMBUS – One look at the former Kraft facility on County Road 25 was all Hamdi Ulukaya needed to decide it was the perfect place to fulfill his dream of introducing an all-natural Greek-style yogurt to the U.S. market.
There was only one problem.
“I didn’t have money to buy it,” the Turkish-born entrepreneur admitted.
But with the help of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 504 loan program, Ulukaya was able to acquire the facility. And that year, with just five employees, he started Agro Farma.
