“We knew they would be tough and scrappy, but we were just on the goalie all the time, and it paid off,” said S-E coach Sheila Cooman. “The team knew this is ( the type of play) that I wanted. It was such a great team effort.”

Maggie Dunshee scored twice in the first half for S-E. She netted the opening goal five minutes into the contest off a Maggie Burlison pass. Burlison made it 2-0 midway through the half, and just two minutes later, Dunshee found the back of the cage again, this time off a Desiree Brown pass.

Alyssa Palmer and Shelby Sheffler scored goals for S-E (5-4-1, 6-6-1) in the second half. The Marauders play at New York Mills Monday.
