OXFORD – A mobile Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster recovery unit will be stationed on Rt. 12 in downtown Oxford through Thursday.
According to Public Information Officer Sarah Olson, the mobile unit is set up near NBT Bank to provide information for everyone who had flood damage caused by Tropical Storm Lee, which ravaged much of the east coast of the United States in early September.
Representatives from the state of New York and the Small Business Administration will also be on site to discuss opportunities for low-interest, long-term loans that may be available for individuals and small businesses around the area.
“We are trying to reach each and every person who was affected,” said Olson. “There are still many people who aren’t registered for disaster recovery aid.”
Phone banks are located on site for anyone who has not yet registered.
