OXFORD – The Americorps Rural Health Service Corps is offering a program that helps members of the community who are interested in EMT training and job experience.
Heather Sherwood, a resident of Norwich, began participating in the program this past November in order gain work experience in her chosen field. The program’s only stipulation is a six-month EMT certification course.
“She’s a very bright girl and it’s great having the extra person on duty at the station,” said Fire Chief Mike Cobb.
