NORWICH – A Syracuse man has been charged with multiple felonies following a traffic stop by Chenango County Sheriff’s deputies Monday morning on Route 12 in the Town of Norwich.

Marvelous C. Williams, 24, was taken into custody following the traffic stop until a search warrant could be obtained and transported to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office. During transport, it’s alleged that Williams removed drugs from his person, attempting to hide them in a police vehicle. Subsequently, deputies reported locating approximately 20 grams of crack cocaine and three bundles of heroin – with respective street values of $2,000 and $300 – from the back seat of the vehicle.
