OXFORD – The New York State Veterans’ Home in Oxford prides itself on keeping its residents happy, healthy and active. Next week, the community will have a chance to view “Our Colors,” an art exhibit made up of residents’ work.
“It’s something wonderful for everyone and everyone in the class has done so well with their work,” said Barbara Gregson, a local artist who recently moved to the area from Philadelphia, and the art program’s instructor.
From 6 to 8 p.m. on March 23, the exhibit will be open to families, invited guests, volunteers and fellow residents. The exhibit will open to the public from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 24. Visitors will have a chance to view more than 100 paintings on display as well as get a chance to meet some of the artists.
