Singing for YOUR Supper at Habitat’s Souper Bowl this Saturday

NORWICH – This Saturday, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., the Norwich VFW. Post #2782 will be the location for Chenango County Habitat for Humanity’s (CCHH) new soup tasting fund raiser, the CCHH Souper Bowl. There will be twenty-two different ladle-ready creations from area restaurants to taste, a Chobani yogurt give-away, an amazing Chinese Auction, door prizes, a 50-50 raffle, and a bake sale! If you are still on the fence about going, three talented local performers -Kevin La Due, Brian Murphy, and Kaitlyn Jackson- will be there generously sharing their time, and passion for singing, at no additional cost. Let their music invite you in to the Souper Bowl while you “Sip Some Soup and Help a House Hold!”

If you were at the CCHH’s fall dinner at St. Paul’s in Oxford, you may remember performer, Brian Murphy. Brian, of Norwich, is a vocalist, guitar musician and songwriter. Murphy brings an unusual mix to his set list that includes original compositions, classic rock, some country-rock, and some old-time and patriotic favorites.

Murphy will be selling his two CDs with all the proceeds going to Habitat. Sweeney and Murphy Live at the Silo, (2006), and Golden Phoenix, (2007), recorded at the Bohemian Moon in Norwich.
