OXFORD – Suzanne Bloom, local author and illustrator, will once again provide a morning of learning, fun and crafts during her “Wishing Star” program at 10 a.m. on April 14.
Bloom has written and /or illustrated 13 childrens books and said she enjoys visiting the Oxford Library and introducing her new works to the local young readers.
During the Wishing Star Workshop, Bloom will read a story about wishing upon a star before letting the kids loose on a huge variety of arts and crafts supplies so they can create their very own.
“It really ties in with our summer reading program, which is called Dream Big, Read,” said library director Nancy Wilcox. “It’s about the power of wishing, dreaming and imagination.”
