NORWICH – Chenango County Republican Committee Chairman Tom Morrone announced Tuesday that the local GOP committee has endorsed Joseph McBride for the office of Chenango County Court Judge.

Morrone said the committee met last Thursday. McBride, currently serving as Chenango’s District Attorney, addressed the committee and asked for the endorsement “based on his extensive legal experience and commitment to public service,” Morrone said. The committee met privately after McBride’s presentation and after discussion, Morrone said, endorsed the candidate in a “nearly unanimous” decision.
