GREENE – Everything from gold watches to gardening tools are available at the Greene Flea and Farmer’s Market that is now underway every Saturday through October.
This will be the second year of the flea market, but the first full year located across from the Great American, reported Wess Van Voorhies, event coordinator and radio personality. The event was previously held at the ball flats.
“We approached the Great American looking to do more things at that end of town and they were thrilled,” said Voorhies. “It’s a win-win for everyone involved ... there’s a lot more activity around that area and we absolutely love it there.”
Knick-knacks and kitsch aren’t the only things available at this flea market – although there’s enough of that as well, said Voorhies.
“We were looking to do creative, out-of-the-box kind of stuff,” said Voorhies. “So people could show up week after week and always be surprised.”
