NORWICH – Just a couple of open spaces remain for art exhibitors at the 18th Annual Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival coming up Sept. 8-9 in downtown Norwich.
After jurying on March 29, 107 new and returning artists and fine crafters were selected to exhibit their wares for sale. There were 141 applications in total, with 61 of them jury-exempt because they were 2011 award winners and long-time exhibitors.
Exhibitor and jury member Diana Tillotson of Riverstone Glass Studio in Endicott said to expect exciting new potters and fiber artists in addition to old favorites at the popular show. The jury studied submitted works in clay, fiber, photography, painting, mixed media and glass.
“It’s going to be wonderful this year. It was difficult to judge. Laying them all out in the parks is going to be a nightmare,” she said.
