OXFORD – With graduation fast approaching, Oxford seniors continue to fill out applications in the hopes of securing scholarships for college.

Last weekend, Oxford alum Christopher Hansen and his wife Jennifer returned to the area to interview five students who are competing for three scholarships.

This is the second year the Hansens have offered the scholarship opportunity, which hands out three awards for $10,000 each.

“All of the students we interviewed this year were very genuinely passionate about school, sports and volunteering,” said Hansen. “It was certainly a tough decision.”
