COLUMBUS – Chobani, an official sponsor of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team, announced yesterday that a commercial campaign to be shown nationwide during the summer games will be filmed in Chenango County and will feature local residents, businesses and farms.

“We want to tell our story to America,” said CEO and founder Hamdi Ulukaya in a press conference Wednesday. “So next week we start shooting here because Chobani is about people, and it’s the people in the community who have made all of this possible.”

The company’s second national ad campaign will be 60 seconds in length and will run every day of the Olympic games.

Ulukaya said the advertisement will focus on the stories of local people who have been affected by Chobani since they opened the production facility five years ago.
