In the numerous articles that have been written since 2002 with both the “In The House of the Lord” and my current series the pages of the book are always open for new historical information that may surface from time to time. Such is the case with this week’s article.
The above school was the subject of a second article January 28, 2010 article and in that article a photo was published of students of District #14 taken about 1928 and at that time there was no identification of the students.
This past week I received a call from Sandra Rivenburgh Rothwell advising that she would forward to me a copy of this photo, again with this article, and that it had been given several years ago by her cousin Edith Rogers who passed away recently. Sandy’s mother was able to identify part of the students and Sandy, through her own research was able to identify a few more. She has advised me there remain five unidentified students.
Sandy advised me she had intended to share this photo with me, but never got it done and now is glad for the opportunity again. As a tribute to these students the names are listed below and hopefully I will put these in the correct order. If I err I am sure I will be advised and perhaps some other person will come forward with the names of the five missing students.
