NORWICH – The Northeast Classic Car Museum will shine in the national spotlight on Wednesday, Sept. 26 as the organization plays host during the annual filmed adventure series, “Fireball Run.”
“Fireball Run” – a film series that supports the Race to Recovery of America’s Missing Children – is an 8-day, 14-city, 2,000-mile adventure that features successful business and civic leaders and celebrities who comprise 40 different teams that tour the country, using everything and everyone in each community to solve clues and accomplish missions based on geography and pop culture to navigate the route and their score.
In the midst of the excitement, each team is also assigned a missing child from their home region and thousands of missing child fliers to hand out along the way. In addition, each driver’s car will be fixed with a decal featuring their child to create a rolling awareness campaign.
According to the series’ executive producer J. Sanchez, the scheduled stop in Norwich is great exposure for the community but more importantly, will play part of a great cause. Yesterday, Sanchez and series Director Brian Bazala made the trip from their studios in Orlando, Fla. to Norwich to tour the Classic Car Museum and other “Fireball Run” stops in nearby communities including Schenectady and Watertown. Stops are also scheduled in several other cities spanning the northeastern states.
