EARLVILLE – Days are shortening; nights are getting cooler. It’s that time of year when everyone gets in their way-too-busy mode! It’s fall but music and arts are still a part of living in central New York! The Earlville Awesome House presents The Nields in a Free Family Concert tonight at 7 p.m. The free concert will be at the historic theater in Earlville and is in collaboration with Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival weekend that features a full line of folk-rock performers in Norwich on Sept. 8th and 9th.
The Nields are sisters known for their gorgeous vocal harmonies and their careers show that they are also experts in being “way-too-busy.” Nerissa and Katryna Nields have been the darlings of the coffeehouse/festival scene since 1991, with tunes ranging from the idiosyncratic to kicking to heartbreaking. Their approach to songs and songwriting really invites the listener into the music making process. The Nields have fifteen folk recordings under their belt, including two for children, bringing folk to the next generation!
