Once again we travel to the town line between McDonough and Pharsalia for another look at the history of the above district school. Long gone and probably almost forgotten but nevertheless was important in the educational system of the pioneer days of settling this county named Chenango.
The photo included with this week's article shows the students and teacher posing in front of the stone wall (the actual town line) and it is most fortunate that the students are identified as follows: "Teacher - Izora Thompson, her name was Brown before she married Thompson. Lewis Rathbone was her second husband in later years.
