NORWICH – The Norwich City Police Department, partnered with the federal Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration, will hold a fifth National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Norwich Police Station, 18 East Main St.
Those wishing to dispose of what Norwich Police Chief Joseph Angelino called “potentially dangerous” expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs can do so by dropping them off at the station’s front lobby. The service, added Angelino, is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
“We conducted this same event in October, 2011, and it was an overwhelming success,” said Angelino. “We anticipate we’ll be just as busy this Saturday.”
