BINGHAMTON – Section IV Class D football teams learned their fates Tuesday morning as the playoff pairings and regular season games were finally announced.
The matchups were delayed when Spencer-Van Etten filed a protest with Section IV officials citing a conflict in the seedings process. At an early-season football meeting, it was agreed that the top two teams in the four Class D divisions would qualify for the playoffs. However, the Section IV handbook conflicted with that determination stating that the seedings would be determined by a points rating system.
