SMITHVILLE – Voters are invited to meet the candidates running for office in the Town of Smithville at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29 in the Town of Smithville Community Center, 5285 State Highway 41.

There is a local race to fill a vacancy on the town council. The candidates vying for the position, Daniel W. Hayes, a democrat, and Republican Karl R. Ludwig, will attend and entertain questions.
