SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville Drama Club has been working hard on its upcoming production of one act plays. “Dating and Waiting for Life to Begin: an Evening of One Act Plays” will be presented on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2 & 3. The show features 10 short, one-act plays.
Two of the one acts are being directed by students Meghan Dusko and Zoe Enscoe. They were responsible for choosing their one-act play, helped run the auditions, and then were part of the casting decision process. They are also responsible for making decisions on lighting, sound cues, costumes, props and set. For the second year in a row, senior Zoe Enscoe wrote the play she is directing.
The evening includes both comedic and dramatic plays and gives many students excellent actor opportunities. The one-act plays in the fall are a good way to break in new participants and also serve as a training ground for future performances. This production has 29 students on stage including: Ryan Bagnall, Duncan Campbell, Olivia Clark, Meghan Dushko, Zoe Enscoe, Lukas Fetzko, Maisy French, Amanda Hodge, Dalton Jones, Taelor Jones, Ben Khoury, Mick Khoury, Erin Lawrence, Tyler Manwaring, James Moren, Julia Opolka, Danielle Purdy, Keith Rose, Matt Smith, Dana Stapleton, Shayla Sullivan, Jacob Taylor, Rachel Taylor, Rebekah Taylor, Sarah Taylor, Vincent Taylor, Alex Tefft, Kyle Tenney and Kevin Vibbard.
Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door at the S-E High School auditorium. Showtimes are at 7 p.m. next Friday and Saturday.
