Published: November 29th, 2012

NEW BERLIN – Thursday night, Peter Hudiburg, an energy expert, will discuss how to conserve energy in your home and business and move to a place of energy independence. The informative illustrated talk will start at 7 p.m. and will be held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on Main Street in New Berlin. It is free of charge.

“Learn how to conserve your heat in winter and your cool in summer while breaking the fossil fuel habit. With today’s technology in super insulation and passive house construction, we no longer need fossil fuels for our homes. Get rid of those old gas and oil burning clunkers and live a healthier and thriftier life. You can help reduce global warming at the same time,” Hudiburg said.

Hudiburg has installed insulation and superinsulation retrofits and has researched the subject extensively. He has also been certified as a Building Analyst with the Building Professional Institute and attended conferences on energy efficiency upgrades.

Tonight’s talk is part of a series of events sponsored by Friends of Chenango County, including movies and tours. For more information, please contact friendsofchenangocounty@gmail.com or call 226.0314.
