NORWICH – Pro-Tel is no longer just a telecomunications firm.
The company broadened its horizons as an employment agency in addition to its work in telecomunications and for several months, has been settling into its new home near the heart of downtown Norwich. It’s now in a position to bring even more opportunities to the local workforce, according to Pro-Tel executives, in a location that’s ideal for local job-seekers.
Pro-Tel People, the employment arm of Pro-Tel, made the move to the city in the fall, from its previous location on Route 12 South, nearly two miles outside city limits. Now housed in the former Children’s Center building at 1 Virginia Lane, the business is proving to be an exemplary resource for anyone seeking employment opportunities in the Norwich and Syracuse areas.
“Even when the rest of the economy doesn’t really seem to be going anywhere, this business is really starting to take off,” said Pro-Tel President and CEO Eric Burrell. “When everyone is saying that the economy is doom and gloom, we’re looking to hire here.”
