This year’s January Red Cross blood drive at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital is Monday, January 7. The blood drive will be in the hospital’s Basement Conference Room 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. For an appointment, contact Garry Root at 337-4028 or Linda Lewis-Moors at 337-4093. Walk-ins are always welcome as well.

The Red Cross reports there is a blood shortage, as is normal at this time of year, so it is more important than ever to donate blood at this drive. During the month of January, every donor will receive a certificate for a pound of Dunkin Donuts coffee. As an added incentive, everyone who gives blood at this Chenango Memorial blood drive will be eligible for a drawing for $50 in Price Chopper gift cards. Regardless of any added incentives, the greatest one of all is knowing that when you donate blood, you give the gift of life. Every donation directly benefits someone and is very much appreciated.
