HANCOCK -Greene overcame a monster night from Hancock's Tyler Phillips to prevail in overtime Friday.
Phillips hit seven three-pointers and finished with a game-high 35 points.
Greene, meanwhile, dominated the overtime period hitting all eight of its free throw attempts to improve its record to 8-2 on the season. "It was one of the best shooting nights I've seen," said Greene coach Rick Smith of Phillips, who said his team clamped down on defense in the extra period. "We were able to get inside for some easy baskets or draw fouls."
Dan Treadwell led three Greene players in double figures scoring totaling 22 points. Zach Wentlent netted 19 and Justin Ekstrom tacked on 11.
Greene hosts Unatego Wednesday.
