Swelby sets launch date, AIM Fitness promotion

NORWICH – Swelby is a new digital community that will help local consumers browse places, products, events, menus and deals on your computer, tablet or cell phone. Scores of Chenango businesses have already been introduced to the Swelby concept, and hundreds of users are already on board for its official launch: Feb. 6, 2013.

Swelby presents an opportunity to interact with local businesses in new ways – by viewing their profile pages and offerings, accessing an extensive online business directory, getting instant notification of deals and sales, and even claiming digital coupons to be used in stores. There’s no charge for a consumer account on swelby.com, and the soon-to-be-available mobile app will also be a free download.

Tonya Loiselle of AIM Fitness recently became a Swelby member and is excited to the use the system to reach out to her customers. The Norwich gym is offering a free one-year membership to a lucky winner who registers on Swelby.com. The winner will be drawn on Friday and announced via Swelby.com and Facebook.com/swelbylocal. To enter, subscribe to Swelby’s email list at Swelby.com. If you have already subscribed to their email list, you simply need to enter your email address again to indicate you are interested in being entered in the drawing.

Shortly before Christmas, the Swelby team gave away a Wii U gaming system and a $50 gift card to two lucky early registrants. In addition to the bigger ticket giveaways, the Swelby team will randomly select days over the next few weeks to run Swelby Pop Giveaways – offering event tickets, gift certificates and other items to random Swelby subscribers. Stay tuned to Swelby.com and Facebook.com/swelbylocal to hear more.

Swelby also has a new team member. Nate Foote was recently named Internet Marketing Manager for the Swelby product and will be active in working with marketing plans, member businesses and organizations as well as reaching out to the local community.
