NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley moved one victory from clinching the top seed in the Midstate Athletic Conference tourney pulling away from an improved B-G club Wednesday.
Jordan Anderson made 7-of-8 free throws in the final quarter, and UV, as a team, went 11-for-12 in the fourth. “They did a good job slowing the tempo and getting back on defense against us,” said UV coach Brandi Backus. “They were patient on offense and shot it well. I was happy we were able to get out of there with the win.”
Anderson’s 16 points led UV, while Amanda Off scored 13.
Morgan Bullis had 13 points for B-G, who had an eight-game winning streak snapped. Abbey Smith chipped in with 10 points.
