SHERBURNE - Sherburne-Earlville burst out of the gates quickly in its regular season finale against Canastota.

The Marauders started the game with a 14-2 lead three minutes into play, and built their lead to as many as 25 points in the first half en route to the Center State Conference division win. The win also clinched a tie for the division title along with Clinton.

“Our guys really came out ready to play,”  said S-E coach Kevin Vibbard. “We had five different guys score in the first quarter, and we played outstanding defense. We had a lot of good balance, and this was a good way to get ready for sectionals.”
