NORWICH – The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office has yet to confirm the identity of a woman whose body was found Tuesday evening off Center Road in the Town of Pharsalia, although administrators on one of two Facebook pages dedicated to Jennifer L. Ramsaran, missing since Dec. 11, have reported the body as that of the 36-year-old mother of three.
According to Chenango County Undersheriff James Lloyd, investigators are still waiting for the results of an autopsy performed yesterday at the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office in Syracuse, and Ramsaran’s family, including husband Ganesh Remy Ramsaran, have been notified of the body’s discovery. Mrs. Ramsaran’s dental records, secured by the Sheriff’s Office, were also transported to Syracuse, he added.
Jennifer Ramsaran was last seen by her husband the morning of Dec. 11 and was planning a trip to Destiny USA to do some holiday shopping, according to Remy Ramsaran, who – later that evening – reported her missing. Her cell phone was located by her husband the following day by utilizing the “Find my iPhone” application, near state Route 23 and Moon Hill Road in the Town of Plymouth; her 2006 Chrysler Town and Country minivan discovered by her father, Thomas Renz, just days later at Plank Road Manor, Plymouth Street, in the City of Norwich.
