SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville music department will be plastering on masks and donning capes for a caper of entertaining proportions, Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m., at the middle/high school auditorium.
The troupe will be preforming “Into the Woods” by one-time Academy Award winner and eight-time Tony Award recipient, Stephen Sondheim. The story intertwines the tale of famous characters conceptualized by none other than the Brothers Grimm, in an orignal story about desire and the consequences of getting what you wish for.
The production is directed by elementary school music teacher Kylie Davis, who is assisted by high school social studies teacher Kenneth Buehner who are both enthusiastic as well as proud of the final product.
“It has gone really well and I have definitely enjoyed it,” said Buehner. “We have a great cast and talent to do this production, which really requires a broad spectrum.”
