Unfortunately for us at The Evening Sun, I must announce that our long-time Managing Editor, Jeff Genung, will be leaving The Evening Sun as of Friday, March 15. To me personally, Jeff has been an invaluable member of The Evening Sun and since we purchased the paper back in 1994, he has guided it with great integrity and dedication. In short, he made my life a lot simpler as he made all of the day to day decisions as to content and to the performance of his reporting staff. He has been an outstanding editor and it has been a privilege to have had Jeff at the helm for all of these years.

So it is with much sadness that we must say goodbye as he moves on to an excellent position with Chobani. But, with every change there is an opportunity, and I have asked Brian Golden to become our Interim Managing Editor during this very important transition period. I’m confident that Brian will do an excellent job for us as we work on reinventing ourselves for the first time in almost 23 years.
