McDONOUGH – The perseverance and hard work of the Del-Se-Nango Olde-Tyme Fiddlers Association has paid off as its members prepare for Saturday’s grand re-opening of the group’s dance hall.
Damages wrought on the dance hall’s roof and furnace forced the building to shut down last year and prospects for the Olde-Tyme Fiddlers Association looked bleak indeed. Yet after a year of fundraising, the association was able to – with the help of numerous volunteers – replace the dance hall’s main roof. Many community members pitched-in money and time to not only buy the necessary materials, but also to put it to use, fashioning and repairing their beloved space.
“We've completely revamped the place,” said the association’s new president, Geraldine Moore.
